Sunset Jams 2008 Reports

The Final Sunset Jams had its last event after 4 years running and the event went out with a blast. Malaysia crew, Ismail came down for the 2nd time to support our event. The Malaysian riders were Botaxxx,Emi,Hadric,and an aussie guy who was staying with them Neil.Local SST riders were Bam, Sallehin, Curly B,wobble,Home and even Balal.We also saw all time favourite Mr CK who was always going big burly tricks.From the bedok Boys, Duowheels crew we saw Farhaan, Jamal,Markus(stingRay),Fahil (penyu).All the way from the north,woodlands Farhaan(Taufikbatisah) coming with Fy from fourtyonethirty.And not forgetting the 3rd place best trick contesst winner Ismail(pasiris) with a X-factor to nohander.What a trick. MTB box jump guys were Hong Chun Fairoz,Jian Quan,Monkey,Konrad.

Mtb Box jump cat, history has written, Tan Hong Chun pulled of the 1st ever backflip in contest on a MTB with a HUGE air not forgetting his extended Superman seatgrab!! His overall run was slick and smooth. BMX box jump was total madness. Qualifiers was smooth and riders was playing it safe with constant small trick.Jamal had the cleanest runs with double seat grab and superman-grab.In Finals of Box jump pressure were building up from the riders.Farhaan(duowheels) attempted 720 but failed underrotated,but manage to recover with 360 table and 360. Marcus turndown was slick. Jamals superseatgrab was at his best.CK for the 1st time again attempted a 360 backflip.He got too much speed and eventually landed overshoot the receiver of the box jump.Due to that we did not participate in the DJ finals.SST crew Bam had bad injury in the practise run the day before and had made his run simple and clean,with superman seatgrab,turndown,backflip,cancan.Farhaan(taufiq) came with an injury he suffered weeks back and did manage to impress the judges with tobbagon,cancan,nofooter,x-up.Malaysia guys were not taking and chances.Emi combo was a killer,360x-uptoxdown,turndowns.Botak had all his tricks dialed,360whip,superman whip,tuckynohander,turndown.

DJ finals,Curly B(SST) runs were slick with combos,nohanderto xups,tiregrab to xup,x-upafooter.Sallehin made his run simple with flow tricks,1handerto xups,tabletops,1handernofooter.Bam was playing it safe but throwing a superman grab for the 1st jump,followed by 1 footer and cancan.Neil runs was filled with style and flow,Barspins,360s,xups. Emi combo again was in the works for his DJ runs,360 xup to x ups,xuptoxdown,1footerxup,360.Botak was killing it, 360 whips,tucky nohander,turndown,xups,360.


Best trick goes to botak with clean 360 whip big air.2nd goes to Neil(aussie) with a perfect 360 barspin,last but not least 3rd place went to Ismail(pasriris) with Xfactor to nohander.

Sunset Jams 08 practise day

Saturday 26th July 08 Sunsetrails and the race track will be open for practise . The box jump,dirt jump and the race track will be open for practise runs.There is no specific time as the area is open whole day till dark. All participant are advised to wear safety gear and we shall not held responsible for any mishap occur during the practise day.

Pre-Registration for Sunsetjams 08

Participants are highly recommended to pre-register themselves online for any of the categories prior to the event day.All successful pre-registration will receive a notification email shortly.On event day preregistered participant only need to produce your NRIC or any identification card at 8am-9am to make payment. All payment made by cash and no late registration/payment can be made after 9am.

Sunset Jams 08 Postponed

We,SST Crew and Precision Cycling would like to thank you all for coming and who had came and endured the torrential rainfall for hours. It would be the best Dirt Jump contest ever in the region with the Indonesian Oakly Team Okke,Redza,Mathues, Malaysia Oakley Team Botaxxx and Wild Channel Rider Emi together with our local SST riders Bam,Curly B , 20 Inch rider CK, and not forgetting the guys from Duo-wheels(bedok bowls).But unfortunately we had to postponed the event till further notice. Sunset Jams will be back.Keep updated.Our sincere apologies.

Please take note.Participant are advise to register online now and make cash payment on 7th June at 8am to 9am with your NRIC or you can also register at Miz-29 Shop,Century Square. Each category is $10 only. REGISTER NOW as registration will be close at 9am sharp on event day.

Sunsetjams 08 - Date released

Sunsetjams 2008 is back and its going to end with a big bang. This year would be the last year we are running the event to make way for the reconstruction of the location for 2010 YOG BMX Race olympic track. Nevertheless we are pushing to make this the biggest ever.

Last year we saw riders from Malaysia , like Botak and Chengtoh. This time more Malaysia riders and Team Indonesia Dirt jumpers are coming for the event. Besides that we are also having bmx and bsx races as for the fringe event. New Category up for the beginners, that would be box jump contest. This cat is specifically for those who never had participated in Sunsetjams before. So this is the last time you could be part of the best dirt jump contest around.
